Climate Change and Global Instability
The current warming trend is of particular significance, as it brings severe and disastrous consequences and is now proceeding at a rate that is unprecedented over decades. Endangering the survival of the Earth’s flora and fauna, and the human race is no exception.
Climate change also increases the appearance of more violent weather phenomena, drought, fires, heat/cold waves, the death of animal and plant species, flooding from rivers and lakes, the creation of climate refugees and destruction of the food chain and economic resources, especially in developing countries. It is an issue that requires solutions that need to be coordinated at the international level to help developing countries move toward a low-carbon economy.
The 6th ACCMES focus on global research challenges and solutions in the field of Climate Change and Global instability, we welcome new research findings, ideas and suggestions from potential researchers and activists. There will be main conference tracks underpinned by sessions around these but not limited to:
Climate Change is a global challenge that has no borders, we tackle the subject from an objective, scientific viewpoint, discussing the causes and consequences of climate change and how it should be tackled.
Disaster risk reduction is the concept and practice through systematic efforts to analyze and reduce the causal factors of disaster. It includes disciplines like disaster management, disaster mitigation and disaster preparedness.
The issues are strongly associated with the global instability which refers to environmental risks-natural or man-made disasters; the societal category captures risks related to social stability; the aspect of the technology relates to the information and communication technologies.
Civil engineering is the application of physical and scientific principles for solving the problems of society. Deal with the design, construction, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment including public works.
Materials science incorporates elements of physics, chemistry, and engineering. Explore the relationships between structure and properties in materials including metals, ceramics, electronic materials, and biomaterials.
Cover the exploration of cause of environmental issues in natural sciences, technology and engineering context; the study of sustainability and potential solutions to environmental problems.
